Forest Music Performance present their debut production: Thrice-Cooked Hamm
Forest Music & Performance, in partnership with Junction Arts Festival, are proud to announce their inaugural production, Thrice-Cooked Hamm - a bold, satirical musical comedy that takes aim at the housing crisis through a reimagining of the classic tale of the Three Little Pigs.
This choose-your-own-adventure musical features an original script and score written by Tasmanian writer Matthew Harris and is directed by acclaimed theatre-maker Jimmy Harrison.

MEET THE TEAM

Matthew Harris
Writer, Composer & Musical Director
Having completed a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts: Theatre Major in 2021, Matthew Harris is an accomplished performer, sound designer and composer.
As a writer and designer, Matthew is a regular collaborator with Bindy Stephens for Happy Habits, taking on composition, sound design and co-direction roles for Mother Nature (2022), Teddies & Bin: Rhyme & Sing (2023) and Knock Knock (2024). TBRS earned him a Professional Sound Design nomination at the 2025 Tasmanian Theatre Awards.
Matthew recently adapted HG Wells’ The Time Machine for the stage, which was read at Mudlark Theatre’s One Weekend play-reading festival.

Jimmy Harrison
Dramaturg & Director
Jimmy Harrison is a proud graduate of the University of Tasmania’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, where he studied a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts (Hons) with a major in Theatre. He is a long-time mentee of Dr. Joan Melton, a graduate of One Voice Centre for Integrative Studies, NYC, and has his own published approach to actor training that has been taught around Australia and internationally.
Jimmy led workshops at both the 2018 and 2019 AusAct conferences and was invited to teach work on the One Voice certification courses in 2020, 2021, and 2023.
He has worked as a voice/acting teacher on the summer school programs at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) since 2018, and is the resident vocal coach at multiple Launceston schools.
In addition to freelance performing and coaching work, Jimmy is regularly engaged as a director, most recently directing The Theory of Relativity for Scotch Oakburn College as well as six shows for the Launceston Youth Theatre Ensemble.
